Discussion Questions:

1. Vek Lewis discusses how “men [who] dressed as women” in public spaces were considered infractions against morality. According to our reading why, do you think, the anti-cross-dressing law was so heavily supported?

2. Lewis discusses morality, and what police officers are expected to enforce. What are some of these infractions and who is representing the communities concerns?

3. This article stated that “Those said to be against good customs are against the norm, the observance of tradition, etc…” (37) what/who impacts these good customs?
